With just over two weeks to go until the royal wedding on April 29, you’d be forgiven for assuming London’s hotel rooms have long been fully-booked. In fact, though 600,000 visitors are expected to hit England’s capitol to witness Prince William and Kate Middleton’s historic nuptials, there’s still time to book — and you don’t need a royal budget to make it happen.

“For those booking last minute, there are still some surprisingly good deals,” says Emma Thomas, Media Relations Manager, North America, for VisitEngland, the official tourism body for England. “Travelers can take advantage of room rates as low as £129 ($206.80) per night at Bermondsey Square Hotel, from £139 ($222.83) per night at K West Hotel & Spa, and from £169 including taxes ($270.92 US dollars) per double room per night including a Royal breakfast for two people at the four star Lancaster London Hotel overlooking Hyde Park.”

And there are still plenty of direct flights available from a number of major US cities to London during the week of the wedding.

Take advantage of Virgin Atlantic’s spring sale with economy fares starting at just $219* one way, and Upper Class fares from NYC starting at $1,136* each way from April 18 to 29. (*Taxes, fees and restrictions apply)
