Russell Brand Removes His Wedding Ring From Katy Perry For Fans on Video

Now that Russell Brand and Katy Perry's marriage is off, so are the rings.

Russell, who filed for divorce from Katy in December after 14 months of marriage, posted a video of himself removing his wedding band.

The comedian and actor was preparing for his U.S. college tour in November when he announced that he'd be taking off his ring before he visited the universities. 

"I'm going to place this somewhere very, very safe for the next week," Russell says in the video, as he holds his hand in front of the camera and slowly slips off his ring.

So, did Russell know that his marriage to Katy was on the rocks back in November? He did say he was looking forward to discovering more about college sororities or "sex clubs for women" as he likes to call them. 

Although Katy recently Tweeted that her heart is "happy again" since the divorce filing, she has sadly canceled her scheduled appearance at the People's Choice Awards tomorrow.
