Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek began her career as a Latin star in the Mexican soap opera Teresa. She remained famous in her homeland for two years before coming to America to continue her acting career. In 1995 her big break was in Desperado, costarring with Antonio Banderas. After, the star continued to struggle in finding roles, leading her to fight for equality for Latin actors and actresses. She soon created her own opportunities by becoming a producer. Salma received an Oscar nomination for best actress and producer for her show Frida. Salma was the executive producer of Ugly Betty, which made actress America Ferrera and Emmy Winner. She is married to the French businessman Francois- Henri Pinault. Together they have a daughter, Valentina.
