Although Quinton Aaron stars in The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock, and admits he didn’t meet her husband Jesse James until after filming the biographical drama, he’s not choosing sides after the devastating news of his affair with a tattoo model.
“They’re both amazing people, and my prayers go out to them in what they’re going through right now,” he says during the special screening of Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too? held Monday in NYC.

He calls her “amazing” as a person.
“She’s funny, she’s easy to talk with, easy to get along with, cracking jokes,” he tells me. “She’s real down-to-earth. She’s real cool.”

That personality shined through on Oscar night March 7.
“I knew she was going to win, but after she won, I was able to say ‘I told you so.’ If I said it before, ‘you’re going to win,’ she would’ve punched me in the face, probably. ‘Don’t jinx me.’ ”

“One day she told me on set when we were working, ‘always be there for your cast mate.’ If your cast mate is getting their close-up, but you have lines with them, you should be beside the camera, giving them their eye-line and feeding them that same energy you would if you were beside the camera helping their performance.”
Quinton adds, ““I learned a lot by just watching her and everything. She’s real professional. She knows how to turn it on and turn it off.”
