Sandy Hook To Tear Down Elementary School
It has been almost a year since the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. After a vote on Saturday, Newtown residents have officially accepted a $50 million grant to tear down and rebuild the facility.

Since the devastating event, students have been attending class at a neighboring school in Monroe county. With an unofficial vote of 4,504 to 558, Newtown voters agreed with officials to accept the grant to have classes return to Sandy Hook.
