Sara leads the cast in hit songs featured as themes throughout the show, including The Fray's "How to Save a Life" and "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol.

Sara's character Callie finds herself having an out-of-body experience when as she watches her friends try to save her life.

"It is grounded in Callie's hallucinations or from some part in Callie's brain," executive producer Shonda Rhimes revealed.

Sara shared that filming the episode was like nothing she has ever tried before.

"The different ways of shooting songs have been so exciting," she said. "I've never lip-synced to my own voice. I've never had one of those ear pieces in my ears before. All of this is new to me."

The cast had to take on the challenge of recording dialogue while the singing was going on.
