Sarah Ferguson "Deeply Regrets" Offering Access to Ex for Cash

Video of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, caught in an undercover sting was made public Sunday in which Fergie seems to arrange access to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, for payments of almost three-quarters of a million dollars.

Fergie has not denied the authenticity of the tape saying in a statement (via The Washington Post), "I very deeply regret the situation and the embarrassment caused. It is true that my financial situation is under stress, however, that is no excuse for a serious lapse in judgment."

In the video, Fergie appears to discuss payment terms, as she is reportedly heavily in debt, if she "opens doors" to Prince Andrew.

But PopEater warns to not make any quick judgments on Fergie.

"I saw the Duchess 2 months ago in New York City and she was in great spirits," PopEater's Rob Shuter said.

"Sarah spends more time raising money for charities than anyone I know," Rob explained. "She is extremely protective about Prince Andrew and her children — that's what makes this tape even more shocking. We have only seem an edited tape ... often careful editing can paint a picture that isn't always true."

"Sarah is a smart woman but can sometimes get confused," he added. "I'm hoping that's what is happening right now."
