Scandal! Simon Cowell Got His Best Friend's Wife Pregnant—Find Out When He'll Become a Dad
Don't judge! Simon Cowell is going to be a dad with his best friend's estranged wife.
Simon, 53, and New York socialite Lauren Silverman, 36, are expecting a child together, and she is reportedly about 10 weeks along. Tongues have been wagging in certain circles over the secret since Lauren is still married to Simon's pal, real estate guru Andrew Silverman.
"This is a very sensitive issue and all media enquiries are being dealt with by his U.S. attorney," an assistant to Simon's U.K. rep tells PEOPLE.
There's no word on how Lauren's husband, Andrew, feels about the sticky situation. However, Us Weekly reports that Simon wasn't the cause of the couple's split.
"Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while," a source reveals to the magazine. "As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close."

So is Simon bound to be breaking out the cigars now that he's going to have a mini-me? It's tough to tell, judging from his past statements on parenting.
"God, no. I couldn't have children. If I had them here drawing on the walls I'd go nuts," Simon confessed in 2009. "You've got to be up at a certain time. Got to listen. When all you want to do is sit in a corner thinking."

And just last year he swore, "I do really, really like kids, because I can talk to them and listen to them."
But, he added, "The problem has always been how much time you need to devote to bringing up kids and I've always dedicated all my life to work, and at 52, I've probably missed the opportunity."
Guess not!
