Scarlett Johansson Denies Rift With Mom Over Money

Reports have surfaced claiming Scarlett Johansson is at odds with her mom and former manager, Melanie Sloan, over money problems and drama involving Melanie's current boyfriend, Gilles Arondeau.

But Scarlett is denying the rumors, saying her relationship with her mom is "solid and loving." 

Allegedly, Melanie is going through some tough times financially and is suing for the return of a $130,000 deposit she dropped on a $1.4 million apartment on West 43rd street in NYC after she couldn't get a mortgage.

Melanie, 60, was Scarlett's "momager" until her daughter decided to part ways with her mom professionally and hire a new manager after her marriage to Ryan Reynolds two years ago. 

But the end of their professional relationship and Melanie's financial struggles have not caused a rift between the mother-daughter duo, Scarlett's rep says in a statement to the New York Post
