Finally some success for a recent American Idol winner! Scotty McCreery has made history with his debut album reaching the top spot on the Billboard 200 Chart.

According to Billboard, Scotty's album Clear As Day has sold 197,000 copies.
These are the biggest sales for an American Idol winner since David Cook in 2008! He is also the first American Idol to reach the top spot on the chart since 2003.

The just-turned 18-year-old is the youngest singer to debut at No. 1, and is the first country singer to do so with their first album.
