Sealed Jackie Kennedy Tapes Will Air in September

It's almost been 50 years since the inauguration of the late president John F. Kennedy so perhaps his daughter, Caroline Kennedy, thought the time is right to air never-heard-before tapes of the late Jacqueline Kennedy talking about the years of Camelot and the JFK assassination.

Turns out the audio tapes were actually recorded in 1964 and became public knowledge last January when the History Channel mentioned it was dropping the $25-million miniseries about the famous family, as reported by The New York Post. The tapes essentially encompass a long conversation Jackie had with historian Arthur Schlesinger, Jr.

The special will air in September on ABC and Caroline will be part of it as well! The late First Lady originally indicated the audio tapes were not to be made public until she had died.
