First, Entertainment Weekly revealed Jennifer Lawrence's look as Katniss Everdeen, the teen heroine of the hotly anticipated film The Hunger Games. Now this week's cover is dedicated to her leading men: co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson in character as Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne!

Based on the trilogy by author Suzanne Collins, the story takes place in the post-apocalyptic country of Panem where children are forced to fight to the death on national TV.

Josh, 18, beefed up for his role as Peeta Mellark (do you see those biceps!?) and dyed his hair blonde!

Liam, 21, will play Katniss' (Jennifer) childhood pal Gale.

“On first glance, he’s such a hunk that it’s easy to just sort of ascribe a hunk-like simplicity to him,” director Gary Ross tells EW. “But this is a phenomenally subtle actor.”

Josh and Liam worked so much together on-set, that their friendship translated off camera as well!

“I think it’s going to blow people’s minds when they see that Peeta and Gale are actually best friends in real life,” Josh said.
