Selena Gomez Sounds Better Than Miley Cyrus & Vanessa Hudgens, Album Reviewer Says

Selena Gomez just released her hotly-anticipated album When The Sun Goes Down with her band The Scene, and the 18-year-old singer/actress/Justin Bieber's girlfriend has been getting some decent feedback. One review in particular, noted that Selena's singing chops were better than her fellow Disney pals turned singers Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens.
"Musically speaking, Gomez is no Miley Cyrus or Vanessa Hudgens — that's because she's better," the Associated Press' entertainment writer Mesfin Fekadu said in a review of the album, via ABC. "She's got a decent voice, and showcased it on last year's "A Year Without Rain," a pop ballad that still sounds good."

The review added: " "Who Says," a song about self-worth, is the best track. It's the lead single, but there aren't any other songs like it. For the rest of the disc Gomez is typical, offering radio-friendly tunes about "dancing forever" and partying till "the sun goes down." "
Selena has some pretty big-name collaborations on her album including Britney Spears and Katy Perry.

"I'm really proud of it," Selena told Billboard.com of her new album, which dropped yesterday. "I definitely think this is a different kind of album for me. I think it ages me up a little bit," she says.
