Selena Gomez Ties Christina Aguilera for Most Alma Award Noms

Christina Aguilera and Selena Gomez will be battling it out at the 2011 Alma Awards. The goddesses picked up three nominations each to lead the pack with the most nominations this year! Jennifer Lopez also nabbed a nod, but estranged hubby Marc Anthony seems to have been snubbed.

Both Selena and Christina picked up nominations in the Favorite Female Music Artist and Favorite Movie Actress (Comedy/Musical) categories.

Christina also was recognized in the favorite TV Reality, Variety, or Comedy Personality or Act category for her gig on The Voice, while Selena was nominated for Favorite TV Actress – Leading Role in a Comedy for her famous part on Wizards of Waverly Place.

In the category of Favorite Male Music Artist: Taio Cruz, Enrique Iglesias, Bruno Mars, Ricky Martin and Pitbull.

Marc Anthony was not nominated this year, but J.Lo was, in the category of Favorite Female Music Artist opposite Christina, Selena, Naya Rivera and Shakira.

The annual award show honors Latinos in the entertainment field and will be hosted by Eva Longoria and George Lopez September 16 on NBC!
