'Sex and the City' Eyes Return to TV?

Could it possibly be that Carrie and crew will return to the small screen for season seven of the hit show, Sex and the City? Although it stopped airing on HBO in 2004 and followed up with the Sex and the City movie in 2008 and its sequel in 2010, according to recent reports, word is that Sarah Jessica Parker would produce it.

According to the Daily Mail, an insider explained, "Ultimately Darren Star – the man who created the hit series – will have the overall say, but everyone is agreed a TV show is the direction they want to take the franchise in."

The source added, "Sarah Jessica Parker will be producing. She was worried about doing another film after the bad reaction to the SATC2 movie, but a TV show is definitely something she wants to happen."

If the show gets the green light, it appears movie plans for the prequel will be put on hold. That would include the star-studded cast of Elizabeth Olsen as Carrie, Blake Lively as Samantha, Selena Gomez as Charlotte and Emma Roberts as Miranda.
