’s new role as permanent co-host daytime chat-fest The View was one of the worst-kept secrets in the show’s history, but that didn't diminish the excitement of the comedian's first day on the show this morning.
The sass-tastic 40-year-old opened today's show saying she “still felt like a legal secretary at heart,” referencing her earlier office career. Then moments later, she revealed that years ago, she sent risqué photos to a boyfriend of hers who was in prison.
So...will any topics be off-limits for Sherri? “I don’t think so,” she explains to OK!, “as long as my father, who’s a deacon in the church, isn’t giving me any flack, I’m all right!”
Before hitting the stage for her first day, Shepherd confesses to OK! that her stomach was “in knots,” but her co-star , herself a newbie to the show, having only joined the ladies a week ago, gave her some advice. “Whoopi is like smooth jazz! She said ‘You’re gonna be fine, girl,’” says Shepherd.
