Although Madonna reportedly shells out $10,000 each month to her 23-year-old boyfriend Jesus Luz, Sherri Shepherd won’t follow her lead.
“Oh well, I’m not going to have a boyfriend,” the comedienne, 42, says this week during the Angel Ball to benefit cancer research held at NYC’s Cipriani Wall Street.
How much does she pay?
“Nothing! I’m not paying nobody to date me. Are you crazy?!?!?”

“No, girl, I’m happily single. I don’t have time, and I don’t have any money if that’s how you’ve gotta do it nowadays.”
Getting more "me" time doesn't phase her.
“You find out who you are,” she tells me. “You really do. And my son is my priority right now.”
With her busy schedule including co-hosting The View, starring on her sitcom Sherri, in addition to her role in Precious and being a single mom to son Jeffrey, 4, time management must be Sherri’s forte.
“It’s not work,” she says. “This is such a dream. I mean, I’m doing what I love to do, so it’s really not work to me.”
What’s her go-to snack when she’s working crazy hours?
“I curl up in my pjs with my son, and I’ll eat some of his food -- his little chicken tenders.”
