New reports say that federal investigators in the doping case against Lance Armstrong turned to none other than Sheryl Crow for information.
According to the New York Daily News, Sheryl was interviewed in late 2011. Jay Cooper, who served as Sheryl's attorney while she cooperated with the investigation, would not comment.
On August 24, Lance announced that he would no longer fight the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. He subsequently lost all seven of his Tour de France titles and all other pro titles going back to 1998. He was also banned from competing in the Olympics and elite-level sports competitions. Lance maintains that he never used performance-enhancing drugs.
Sheryl and Lance began dating in 2003. They were engaged in 2005 but called it off the following year.
