Simon Cowell to Launch 'DJ Superstar' With the Help of Jada Pinkett-Smith!

Simon Cowell is ready to show the world a new kind of talent competition! Forget about singing your heart out — Mr. Cowell is looking for someone who can throw down some beats!

And he's not doing it alone. According to The Daily News, Simon's Syco Entertainment group is working alongside Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith's company, Overbrook Entertainment, as well as Sony Pictures Television to bring you DJ Superstar, a live international reality show that will set out to find the world's best DJs.

“We’ve been working on this show for over a year and we wanted to partner with the right people,” Simon said in a statement, adding that as soon as he talked with Jada and her producing partner, Miguel Melendez, he knew he had found the perfect partners.

“DJs are the new rock stars. It feels like the right time to make the show,” he explained.

Simon, who has launched both The X Factor and America's Got Talent, is excited to work with Jada, who announced in a statement, "This show will comb the world to find a new breed of talent."

The show's U.S. and UK broadcasters are set to be revealed in an announcement very soon!
