Simon Cowell: My Girlfriend is "The One"

Simon Cowell is no longer one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors — the American Idol judge has admitted his new girlfriend is "the one" and says he might be ready to settle down and have children.

Simon recently went public with this romance with Mezhgan Hussainy, 36, who works as a makeup artist on American Idol, after they were photographed out on a date, reports the UK newspaper The Mirror.

Now, in a television interview to be screened on UK television next month, Simon, 50, even hints to interviewer (and America's Got Talent judge) Piers Morgan that the pair could be engaged.

"I’m smitten with Mezhgan, I think she’s the one," Simon confesses, "She’s very special."

“You know when you’ve found somebody very special.” And on the subject of children, he said, "I think I need to have little Simons around."

Simon first suggested that his relationship with Mezhgan was serious when he kissed her at a Britain's Got Talent audition last week.

And during the TV interview, she sat at the back wearing on her engagement finger a Graff diamond ring said to be worth nearly $400,000.

But when asked by Piers if he was engaged, Simon replied: “No comment.”
