Stars Pick Team Edward or Jacob

Now that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is in theaters, celebrities are flocking to the cinema to get their fill of Edward, Bella and Jacob.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Julianne Hough, Martina McBride, Brooklyn Decker, Laura Bell Bundy, Gloriana, Chuck Wicks, Kellie Pickler, Jordin Sparks and Miranda Lambert weigh in with their choices.

Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is torn. She tells me, “I’m Team Edward just because he’s very sexy, but then again, I’m Team Jacob because he has potential guido status.”

But her co-star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino won’t be caught choosing sides.

“I don’t think I’m on any team on that one laughs because I like women,” he tells me. “But on the other hand, I am fans of them both, I think they’re both great actors and I’m a fan of them both.”

“I’m in love with Edward,” Julianne Hough laughs.

Country singer Martina McBride, who is mom to three daughters, takes a psychological approach.

“Well, Edward’s really cute, but I think he’s very romantic, but I think probably Jacob is a healthier relationship. He seems to care. He’s not as obsessive. It’s a little more well-rounded.”

Supermodel Brooklyn Decker is all about girl power.

“I love Twilight,” she tells me during a Venus Embrace event. “I’m Team Bella. I’m always rooting for her. I think she’s the atypical heroine, and a lot of people relate to that.”

Laura Bell Bundy says, “I’m Team Edward for sure. I think he’s a stunning man, and I like to watch his face.”

Gloriana singer Cheyenne Kimball agrees. “I’m totally Team Edward. I used to read the books when I was 17, and I wanted so badly to meet a vampire named Edward and fall in love.”

Still, Chuck Wicks has an off-the-wall pick.

“I’m Team Leah Clearwater. Julia Jones. Because she’s in my video, my brand-new video Hold That Thought. She’s a great person, she’s part of the Wolfpack. She’s going to be in Twilight. Now that I kind of know her, we made out in my video, I gotta support her.”

Not every celeb “gets it” though. Kellie Pickler, Miranda Lambert, Gloriana singer Rachel Reinart and Uncle Kracker have never seen the films.

When asked whether she was on Team Edward or Team Jacob, Kellie says, "What's that? No, sorry."

Miranda admits, "I have no idea! I have never seen that show once, not even a preview. I have no idea what Twilight even is about. I know I am way out of the loop, but I watch SVU."

Rachel says, "I’m Team Vampire Diaries. I don’t watch Twilight. I have a huge crush on both of the dudes. They’re hot."

Uncle Kracker says, "I don’t even know who those are."

Still, they’re in the minority.

“I’m a huge Twilight fan,” Jordin Sparks says.

“I’m obsessed with Robert Pattinson,” Serena Williams admits.
