On Friday night, stars such as Katy Perry, Kathy Griffin, Brandy, and more hit the road for San Diego to take part in the VH1 Divas Salute the Troops concert presented by the USO.
Hosted by Kathy at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, newlywed Katy stole the show with performances of “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” and more.
Russell Brand’s wife joined Nicki Minaj on stage later on for rendition of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” according to MTV.

Keri Hilson, Grace Potter, Nancy Wilson and Sugarland also took to the stage to salute the troops, with special guest appearances by Marissa Miller, Brandy, and Jersey Shore’s Mike Sorrentino and Snooki Polizzi.
Paramore and Hayley Williams also performed via satellite with pre-taped acts.
VH1 Divas Salute the Troops is set to air on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 9 PM on VH1.
