Hold the champagne, fast car and jewelry — modest singing sensation Susan Boyle has celebrated her unprecedented success by splashing out on a new refrigerator.
After selling more than three million copies of her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream, the never-been-kissed Scot has spruced up her home for Christmas, reports the UK’s Sun newspaper.
She’s snapped up a new refrigerator and a new burgundy leather couch.
“I will probably be able to buy the house I live in,” says the 48-year-old, “which was my family home, which is fantastic.
“I don’t have any other big ambitions really. I have bought some new furniture. You’ve got to keep your house looking nice, haven’t you?”
The star who’s from West Lothian in Scotland, spoke of her purchases on I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story, which aired on UK television last night.
So, does she have any plans to find a boyfriend? “I’m far too busy,” scoffs SuBo. “A TV company wanted to set me up with a man, but I’ve got my living to do now.”
