Bad day today for the Backstreet Boys and the set of Bones: A bout of swine flu has attacked Backstreet Boy member Brian Littrell and has also shut down production of Bones today. Hmm, does the H1N1 virus like alliteration?
In a statement from the band, Brian has been diagnosed with swine flu, leading the group to cancel their NYC Pinktober Hard Rock Café signing as well as their CBS Early Show performance Tuesday.
"We were really looking forward to spending time with our closest fans and friends in NYC and take part of Pinktober, an unbelievable and important program," Brian says. "I hope we can come back soon and do everything we can to help."
The Backstreet Boys are in NYC promoting their new album This is Us, which comes out tomorrow.
According to E! News, production of Bones has also been shut down today due to the H1N1 virus.

Hart Hanson, the creator of the show, tweeted, "First time in Bones history we are shut down from production. Damn swine flu! That's gonna cut into our Christmas hiatus."
To the relief of many David Boreanaz fans Hanson later cleared up any confusion tweeting, "Oops! There is no indication that Boreanaz has swine flu. We expect him back tomorrow. I'm now going out to get swine flu myself in atonement."
