They say dog is man's best friend, and it seems this pup is definitely one of Reese Witherspoon's best pals! Reese and her furry friend went for a hike in the hills of L.A. on Thursday, and we can't tell who looks happier! She was also accompanied by some companions of the human variety as they hit the road for a dose of the great outdoors.

It seems Reese is all about doing good — not only for her own health and fitness, but she also gives back to those in need when she meets them on the street.

Earlier this week Reese and boyfriend Jim Toth were out for a stroll when they happened upon a handicapped homeless man, and gave him some money.
