Summit isn't going to let go of Taylor Lautner anytime soon. The company has just decided to pick up Cancun, an action film by Eric Champnella and Grant Thompson, The Hollywood Reporter says. Taylor Lautner as the leading man? Yes please!
Cancun will be the first project from the new small production company Taylor shares with Dan Lautner, his dad.
The story is about a misfit college student who travels with a girl to Cancun for break. While in Cancun, the girl and her friends are taken hostage by a drug cartel and he must save them. The film will be showing off Taylor's martial arts skills!
Summit's president of production Erik Feig and director of development Gillian Bohrer will be overseeing the project.
Too bad the film is set in Cancun... Taylor will probably have to be shirtless again. Darn.
