Taylor Swift Honors Fallen Marine & Wants to Wear His Dog Tags

Right on the heels of pledging $4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Taylor Swift has done another good deed to make us all proud.

The Grammy winner heard about Sgt. Wade Wilson's death through his BFF who posted a video message to her on YouTube. As reported by GossipCop, Cpl. Josh Marreel stated, “This is a shout out to the one and only Taylor Swift. I know you have no idea who I am but this video isn’t about me. This is about a good buddy, Sgt. Wade D. Wilson, who was killed in action Friday, May 11, 2012 in Afghanistan.”

The soldier adds, “Anybody that knew Willy personally knew that he worshiped you. He even slept with a poster of you in between our beds in Afghanistan.”

He asked the singer to simply think about the fallen Marine and invited her to his funeral in Texas, but the star went above and beyond the call: Not only did the country crooner send flowers and a note to his family, she called his family to ask permission to wear wear his dog tags in her next music video as a tribute to him!

As for the note itself, it read: "Wade, thank you for loving my music. I won’t forget it and I will never forget you. All my love, Taylor Swift.”
