Taylor Swift is headed back to the box office. The country singer will star alongside pal Zac Efron, and veteran screen actors Betty White and Danny DeVito in Universal and Illumination Entertainment’s animated flick of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax!
Along with Zac, Betty and Danny, Taylor joins Ed Helms and Rob Riggle in the CGI-animated adaptation, about "the tale of a boy who searches for a way to win the affection of the girl of his dreams," according to The Hollywood Reporter. "He comes across the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world."
Taylor will play the "dream girl" of the young boy played by Zac, THR reports. Danny is voice of the Lorax while Ed voices Once-ler.
Betty will be the voice Zac's wise grandmother.
Despicable Me' Chris Renaud is directing the film with a screenplay by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio.
This will be Taylor's second time on the big screen. She starred opposite Taylor Lautner and slew of other actors in last year's rom-com Valentine’s Day.
