Taylors Rewarded, R-Pattz Shafted at People's Choice Awards

Let's be completely honest here: The 36th annual People's Choice Awards was a dull way to start off the 2010 awards season. More than half of the categories — including Favorite Movie!! — weren't announced on air and the performances were, well... calling them less than memorable would be being nice. The only highlight of the night — Watching Taylor Swift give ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner a standing ovation when he went up to receive his award. 

The evening kicked off with an opening song from host Queen Latifah, who continued to try and make viewers laugh with movie spoofs throughout the show. 

Unfortunately, the night need more than a couple spoofs to save it!

Award winners were overall an unexpected disappointment. The awards kicked off with a huge upset when The Proposal won Favorite Comedy Movie over The Hangover. 

At least Taylor Lautner won! Those who paid close attention know Taylor Swift gave him a standing ovation!

The always-doting Nick Cannon accompanied his lovely wife on stage, helping her with the tight, difficult  to move in, white dress she was wearing. 

We thought things would pick up when the cast of Glee won Favorite New TV Comedy, and they said they had a special treat in store for us.

Everyone hoped the harmonious cast would burst out in song, but instead they delivered DiGiorno's Pizza as a lame ad promo. 

As for performances, Mary J. Blige and a Cobra Starship performance did not cut it! Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls is no replacement for Leighton Meester! She made a good song BAD!

Cobra Starship performed "Good Girls Go Bad" but instead of Leighton Meester they had Nicole Scherzinger sing....bad idea.

So many awards were not mentioned live, resulting in a boring show for viewers.

Apparently people like Johnny Depp more than they like Robert Pattinson — Pirates have triumphed over Vampires. 

Johnny won two awards, the first for Favorite Movie Actor and the second for Favorite Actor of the Decade. He has received more votes from the public than any other star in the last 10 years of the People's Choice Awards.
