Teen Mom Amber Portwood & Gary Shirley: More Trouble With The Law
June 6 2011, Published 10:49 a.m. ET
Since they last appeared on TV, Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley have seen even more drama. In April, an unknown person ignited a new feud with Amber by spray-painting the reality star’s car with obscene language. This incident, along with death threats Amber has received, prompted a judge to give physical custody of baby Leah to Gary, for the child’s protection.
Despite the charges of domestic violence against Amber, she and Gary are legally allowed to see each other again. A judge, however, has barred them from being in the same room with Leah together so they can’t fight in front of the baby. Yes, their relationship is still volatile.
In the early-morning hours of May 24, Gary was pulled over because he and Amber were arguing so loudly in his car that a police officer noticed.Gary was arrested for driving with a suspended license (his was suspended after he was ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt this past September). He was released after posting a $3,000 bond.
