
The Royal Baby Has a Nickname, Says Prince Charles! And It's Totally Cute

Think the royal baby excitement is over? Not by a long shot. There's the first portrait photos, the christening, the first steps, the schooling, and so on and so forth for the next 78 years or so.

But the first new development is an official nickname! George Alexander Louis is a wonderful name and all, but it's kind of a mouthful and not especially cute. Prince Charles and wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, made an appearance at the Whitstable Oyster Festival and told many well-wishers that the baby will be called "Georgie."

Georgie Porgie! How cute. How perfectly English. We can already see a teenaged Prince George despising this childhood moniker and trying to shed it, but until then—long live Georgie!
