Theories on Mystery "Thing" in 'Super 8': Cast Recalls Justin Bieber Speculations

Very little is known about the plot of Super 8, but there are plenty of theories on what the mysterious "thing" may be — including Justin Bieber!

MTV News chatted with the stars of Super 8 about the weirdest and funniest theories they have heard.

"I've seen on IMDb that a lot of people thought it was a giant lion," Zach Mills said. "I don't know why. That's the craziest thing I've heard."

Riley Griffiths shared, "The funniest thing that someone has guessed what it is, they said Chuck Norris was in the train."

And Ryan Lee heard and equally funny theory that "They think that the thing has a dog fetish. That's the funniest thing somebody has said to me about the mystery of the movie. They think that thing is hoarding dogs in its train, I guess."

But perhaps the best of all comes from Kyle Chandler who heard the "thing" may be Bieber Fever.

"Someone suggested to me that it was Justin Bieber," he said laughing, but then adding seriously, "And it could be."
