Tila Tequila Sued by Football Star Ex

Tila Tequila's recent engagement bliss has been stifled by her former shot at love, footballer Shawne Merriman. The San Diego Chargers superstar is suing Tila, claiming the reality star lied about accusations that he beat her up back in September, TMZ reports.

Shawne claims Tila's false allegations were made in an attempt to ruin his career.

In the lawsuit, filed in US District Court, Shawne states Tila posted many lies on her Web site, including stories that he had "choked and attacked" her, "sleeps with minors and forces them to take drugs," and that he manufactures drugs in his home.

Last month Tila stripped off her clothes for a live rant on UStream, where she called Shawne a "woman beater."

Shawne also claims Tila admitted her manipulative, lying plan, at one time stating, "yes that is why I did a 'spin' now ... cuz now everyone is LOVINGGGG me."

Shawne is suing for intentional interference with contract and unfair competition as well as trademark infringement, according to TMZ. He claims Tila used his famous "Lights Out" logo on her Web site, and that the Internet icon's accusations interfered with his deal to produce a line of T-shirts for Walmart.

Shawne was arrested on Sept. 6 after Tila claimed the athlete beat her up and trapped her in his San Diego home; however, the charges were eventually dropped due to "insufficient evidence."

Tila announced her engagement to Johnson & Johnson heiress, Casey Johnson, on the Internet yesterday. The couple, dressed in lingerie, declared their love and devotion for one another in a UStream video.
