Tim McGraw Dishes on Gwyneth Paltrow's Singing Skills

Tim McGraw has been busier than ever. The dad of three just finished filming Country Strong alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and is now teaming up with Feeding America and Hamburger Helper to launch their newest campaign in an effort to end hunger in America. Yesterday, Tim took time out of his busy schedule to talk about the challenges of working with Gwyneth and what he thinks of her country singing skills. He also told OK! why you wouldn’t want to see him on Glee!

“The biggest challenge was to be on the screen with Gwyneth Paltrow. You just want to play to the level as the person you’re playing against. It certainly made me a better actor being there with her,” Tim explained. “Everybody around her rises when she’s in a scene.”

The country crooner also weighed in on Gwyneth’s performance in the film. “She’s a great country singer because when it came out it was pure honesty. You know the thing about country music, it’s such an honest (kind of) music.”

Gwyneth is set to showcase her musical talent in an upcoming appearance on Glee. OK! asked Tim how he would feel about making an appearance on Glee himself. He doesn’t think it would be such a great idea.

“I’m not a triple threat. You don’t want to see me dancing.” Regardless of his dancing skills, Tim says he would “give it a try” if he was asked to.

Whether Tim decides to give Glee a shot or not, one thing’s for certain, he just wants to do his best.

“The mission that I’m on is to just get better personally and professionally.”
