After a raucous two years of Ricky Gervais hosting the annual awards show, it was announced last night that funny ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will take the reins this January and usher in the laughs.
"Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year's festivities is a major coup," said Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming for NBC Entertainment. "Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on 'SNL' to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama."

The two women have known each other for years, stretching back beyond Saturday Night Live to when they were both struggling comics in the improv group Inside Vladmir in Chicago.
The 70th annual Golden Globes is set to air on Jan. 13.
