Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron confirmed that Betty White has been in talks with the show’s producers about doing the hit ABC reality show.
But in his opinion, her advanced age should prevent her from being on the competition.
When asked if Betty should do DWTS, Tom told OK! on Saturday, “I know the producers want me to say yes, but I adore Betty White and she’s almost 89 years old and I think no.”
BETTY WHITE IS WELCOME ON 'DWTS'
Tom said of the age issue, “I think they have to determine that themselves and I don’t know if that conversation has taken place. My understanding is that Betty’s had a conversation where she expressed some concern about her ability to keep up and I think that’s where you have to say, okay.”
The DWTS host said it would be great for the show, but maybe not for the TV legend: “From a promotion standpoint, obviously she’s the hottest name going right now but I adore her and I would never want to be her last show.”
