
Tom Cruise Signs on For 'Mission: Impossible IV'

Tom Cruise will reprise his role of super agent Ethan Hunt in the fourth movie in the long-dormant Mission: Impossible series, four years after the last film hit theaters.
Tom, 47, will start shooting the next sequel this summer in time for a release around Memorial Day, 2011, reports E! News.

Tom's last venture with the MI franchise, MI3, underwhelmed at the box office prompting Viacom chairman Sumner Redstone to terminate Tom's production deal at Paramount in August 2006.

But now Tom and J.J. Abrams (who won't direct this flick, but will co-produce instead) are back! "Tom and J.J. are great talents and we are excited to be working with them to relaunch this legendary franchise," Paramount chairman and CEO Brad Grey said in a statement Tuesday.
