NEWSTomKat: Stronger Than Ever!

Katie Holmes' return to the big screen was a bit disappointing. Her new film, Mad Money, finished out its opening weekend in seventh place. Her acting in the film also came under fire by such heavies like the New York Times, who called her performance in the film the "Weakest link."
And amidst the Jan. 15 release of an unauthorized biography about her husband, Tom Cruise, there were the videos that made the Internet rounds, featuring Tom boldly exclaiming his love for Scientology.
But despite the onslaught of negative publicity, Katie keeps moving forward.
"Katie is terribly disappointed about the state of her career — there's no question about that," a Cruise friend tells OK!. "But right now, her priority is protecting her loved ones. To the outside world, Katie is all calmness and cool. Inside, she's like a lioness who would really like to pounce on anyone who is attacking her family."
