Poor Monique Santiago! An ill-timed body function and disregard for the environment got her booted off of last night's episode of True Beauty, the reality show searching for its players' inner beauty as well as the outer package.

But not all is what it seems. I caught up with the 21-year-old Go-Go dancer at a screening party for the show and got the scoop on how the contestants really feel when they learn of the show's secret twist.

Did you ever have inkling there was more to the game?

I kind of did. Still, I had the best elimination so far because it didn't make me look that bad.

There was some serious tension between you and Chelsea. You threatened to get her kicked off.

It's bad they had to show the things that kind of off-putting about me. What they didn't show is Chelsea and I making amends and understanding each other and where we come from. It's frustrating when they say I didn't respect Chelsea.

  So you've made up?

Yes. By the end, we were cheering each other on.

They accused you of not having true beauty because you didn't help the emotionally distraught makeup artist…

They showed me burping at that woman, but she wasn’t even there when I went out there. People burp. It's not ugly, it's gas!

As for the water bottle, I probably wouldn't have picked it up either.

You know, I live in Manhattan. If I stopped to pick up a piece of garbage every time I saw it, I would never get where I was going. I'm concerned about the environment, but that's not realistic where I'm from.

Was it frustrating to see yourself when the judges revealed the show's twist?

I was a little disappointed on how they portrayed me at the end because I've worked all my life to be a good person and do charity and help my community and school. To be portrayed like that, it really hurts my heart.

Did Ray really strip down for his dare at the toga party?

Yes, he did. After that, we got him to manscape his business!

What will you take away from this experience?

Nothing is what it seems, whether it's a person or a TV show. Be on your best behavior because you never know who's looking.

Who do you think will win?

If I would pick someone it would be Ray or Billy. Billy is genuine all the way through and Ray is so funny and passionate and cares about people. They are just awesome guys.

Catch True Beauty Mondays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
