OK!'s Rana Meyer breaks down your fave show of the night!
One Tree Hill: "Welcome back to Tree Hill, and wow after watching the two-hour season premiere of One Tree Hill, it’s definitely back and better than ever. Taking the smart route and skipping ahead four years and forgoing the college years was a brilliant move. We were quickly caught up with all of our favorites and what they have been up to. Lucas is a publishing author and the new head coach of the Ravens, Brooke is a fashion mogul living in NYC, Peyton is a music label assistant in L.A., Skills is the new assistant coach of the Ravens, Mouth is on the hunt for that broadcaster job and then there’s Nathan and Haley, and their now 4-year-old son Jamie. Hayley is about to start her first gig teaching at Tree Hill High, but Nathan is dealing with something. And it was kind of obvious that he had been hurt and was not playing basketball anymore. With some great flashbacks, we come to learn that the night before the NBA draft where he was due to be picked for Seattle, some bar patrons started messing with him and ended up throwing Nathan through a window in a bar fight. With the shards of glass in his back, that was the end to his basketball career and walking. But four months after the accident, Nathan is in terrible shape, and James Lafferty is really doing a great job with it. But my favorite has to be little Jamie Scott. He is so cute and is such a good little actor. I have never seen a 4-year-old have such great lines and pull them off with such ease. Over in the land of Peyton and Lucas, we come to find out that they haven’t spoken in two years and Lucas is now with someone else. Peyton, who can’t deal with the shady music execs, anymore decides to come home and is shocked to meet Lucas’ new girl, Lindsay. But I will say that I don’t see that new couple lasting. With Peyton needing support, Brooke also made her way home to Tree Hill, which was pretty predictable. No one could have expected everyone to be so split apart, so now everyone is back in Tree Hill and there are still so many questions to be answered. Why did Peyton and Lucas break up? Why are Karen and little Lily traveling the world? And will we ever see Whitey, Dan, Deb, Rachel and Bevin again? It’s good to have you back, Tree Hill." -- Rana
