Twilight star Peter Facinelli revealed to OK! that he's primed and ready to get back together with the Cullen family and begin working on Eclipse. On Monday night, when OK! caught up with the actor at the CBS/Showtime party where he promoted his series Nurse Jackie, he said of the hotly anticipated third film in the Twilight movie series, “We start rehearsals tomorrow. We have two weeks of rehearsal and then a week of fight training.”

Peter said the whole cast will be participating in the fight training, because “what happens in Eclipse is Victoria comes back and she builds an army of newborn vampires which are freshly bitten vampires which are basically blood crazed and she’s trying to get this army to come after us so that she can get to Bella and so we team up with the werewolves to attack all these newly bitten vampires.”

And Peter told what fans can expect: “Eclipse has more action in it and so I’m excited to get in there and have Carlisle roll his sleeves up a little bit and get into fight stuff.”

“I leave tomorrow and I’m on Eclipse for three months,” he said. “I’m going to try to have my kids come up for the fight training so they can see what dad does.”

About the cast, he said, “we’re really like a family on and off set.I love each and every one of them like they are one of my kids. I’m looking forward to reuniting with them all.”

Meanwhile, Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who was also at the party, promoting her Showtime series, Dexter, told OK! of Eclipse and New Moon, “things get more confrontational. It’s bigger in scope. Twilight was a small romance in a lot of ways. I mean, there was that battle at the end with James, but that was as big as it got. With New Moon, we have the werewolves. With Eclipse, it becomes this epic battle. With every book and episode of the movie, it gets grander in scope, which I have to say is fun to write.

“When I wrote Twilight, I didn’t know who was starring in it," she explains. "So I was writing a little bit in a vacuum and so there was rewriting to be done because I started off with more of a comedic edge and I dialed that back. Going into New Moon and Eclipse, I knew who I was writing for, it got even easier. Those two actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart brought so much chemistry. I don’t think the movies were going to be anywhere near as successful as they are without those two actors and their chemistry. Twilight was beautifully cast,” Melissa told OK!

New Moon was one of the happiest sets I’ve ever been on.It was light and delightful. Director Christopher Weitz is a Zen master.”

Of the recent re-casting drama on Eclipse, the screenwriter said, “I love Rachelle. I think Rachelle will go on to do brilliant things. But I’m sure Bryce Dallas Howard will be great.”
