Known for his ripped muscles and stellar physique, it wouldonly be natural to assume that Ty Pennington is a gym rat, working out andtraining every day. Not so, he tells OK!, and definitely not now that theholidays are upon us.
“Fitness is the last thing on my mind. I’m just going to eat and put on thehibernation coat,” he tells OK! as he dines over a cheeseburger and fries.
The 43-year-old admits that constantly running around probably plays a factorin his fitness, but there’ll be none of that on Thanksgiving. However, he isgoing to benefit from one weight-lifting exercise.
“It’s all about lifting the fork to the face,” he jokes. “Tome, that’s a good workout, or maybe even the turkey leg.”
Possibly the sweet potatoes and gravy as well, which he claims are his favoriteholiday dishes. But what the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition star is lookingforward to most, besides “a day off and more food,” is something intangible.
“Spend some time with family, and actually to just be ableto continue what I do. I know it sounds cheesy but it’s an awesome, awesomejob,” Ty says. “I get to really do great things and the families that we’vebeen helping out we’ve had a phenomenal season and to just be able to keepgoing.”
