Taking a play straight out of Oprah’s Build Your Own Media Empire handbook, model mentor/talk show host Tyra Banks is launching a new TV reality series for The CW. Billed as The Devil Wears Prada meets The Assistant, the yet-to-be-named show will follow assistants determined to score a hot editorial position in the fashion industry. Each week, teams of two will create pages for The Book, a mock copy of a leading fashion magazine. The losers’ page winds up in the trash, and one of the teammates is eliminated. Tyra’s new project will most likely be a companion piece for her hit CW series, America’s Next Top Model. Cheer up, guys and gals at Soapnet’s Fashionista Diaries.
