IS VANESSA CARLTON A HERO – OR A THIEF?

told me I was her best interview ever in 2002, around the time she came out with singles Ordinary Day and A Thousand Miles. We met up again for a chat in 2004, and questions about her relationship with Third Eye Blind’s Stephen Jenkins were completely off-limits. (I was so proud of her – he’s a good catch!) A few months later, I was covering a Christian Dior event at the Guggenheim Museum. , , and, ironically, were also in the house. Sitting at a table with the venerable , Vanessa invites me over to say hello. “Oh, hi!” Every time I head through Mitford, Pennsylvania, on the drive home to Ohio, I regale my rider with the old “Hey, Vanessa Carlton grew up here.” Hahaha.
