Rob Lurie's new thriller hits theaters on Sept. 16.
Straw Dogs tells the story of David and Amy Sumner (James and Kate), a Hollywood screenwriter and his actress wife who return to her small hometown in the South to fix up the family home for sale after her father's death, Coming Soon reports. But old conflicts start up with Amy's ex-boyfriend Charlie (Alexander) and it turns violent.

Rob recently spoke with GQ about a scene in the film where Charlie rapes Amy.
“In the beginning, Kate would be crying after every take and Alex would try to comfort her,” the director said of the stars filming the difficult scene. “By the end, everybody got really raw.”
