Video: Ann Coulter vs. The View

Jan. 12 2009, Published 8:35 a.m. ET
Ann Coulter apeared on The View on Monday to promote her new book, Guilty, an expected controversial narrative which devotes a chapter to—among other things—single mothers and how they are ruining America. Needless to say, the ladies had a few things to get off their chest.
Ann's particular criticism of single moms in Hollywood-- who she says use their kids to get ahead-- particularly offended Whoopi Goldberg, an Oscar winner and single mom.
But it didn't stop there. When Barbara Walters tried to read a passage from her book, Ann lashed out at the way she read, telling her "You should do the audio book," prompting Sherri Sheperd to jump in and tell Coulter, "I don't appreciate the way you're talking to her Barbara. You didn't have to talk to her, like that." To which Coulter replied tersely: "Maybe we can move on from tone to substance."
