Jason Segel — actor turned minister! The How I Met Your Mother star/screenwriter married a non-actor couple Tuesday on The Tonight Show, after the couple — who are big fans of Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Jason's body of comedic work — met him in West Hollywood bar and asked if he would do the honors!
Abbe Thorner and Jason Wood had the good fortune of spotting Jason at a West Hollywood bar, where they boldly asked him to preside over their ceremony!

"They turned out to be the nicest, most normal fun-loving couple ever," Jason told Jay Leno. "I guess the guys who were supposed to officiate their wedding dropped out and they were watching Sarah Marshall at the time —w hich, I mean, most people are — so they convinced me that I would be an appropriate person to officiate their wedding, and I told them I was out of town for their actual day."

However, Jason asked the couple if they were willing to exchange vows during his appearance on The Tonight Show and they agreed!
According to E! Online, Jason got the credentials needed from the Universal Life Church, and Jay served as the official witness.
