Paul Rudd has announced he will be the new American Idol judge. At least, that's what he's decided!

While Paul tried to figure out how to style his My Idiot Brother hair during an interview with MTV News, Paul decided viewers should vote on it — just like they do on American Idol!

And that's when he decided he's the new judge!

"That's right I am," Rudd said with certainty. "It was just confirmed today ... I'm really excited, I think it's going to be a lot of fun. It's going to be a lot of work, but I love the show, I love the kids, I love what they do.

But he doesn't want to be the new Simon Cowell!

"No I'm a nice judge," Paul explained. "I'll be a nice judge, but if I don't like what they do I will tell them to give up on their dreams... I will crush their dreams."
