NEWSVIDEO: Robert Pattinson Talks Marriage on 'Today'

Robert Pattinson made one of his many upcoming TV appearances to promote Twilight Saga: Eclipse this morning on the Today show. Although this particular interview was pre-recorded, it's not lacking in new R-Pattz news, including his romantic view on marriage!

When Jenna Bush Hager asked Rob for Today if he would like to "settle down" someday and get married, the Twilight star had a problem with the phrasing of the question.
“I don’t think settling down should be the same thing as getting married. I mean I guess settling down just means not sleeping with everybody," he laughed.
According to Rob, marriage doesn't mean you're settling — how romantic!
"I don’t like the idea of having to settle, though," he explained. "I would like to go on a date. I’m just saying, just putting that out there because I don’t go on dates anymore.”

And in case you're wondering how Kristen Stewart's view on marriage compares to Rob, she recently spoke on the same subject.
"I’m not ready to get married, but I have a really great family and I’d like that too someday, sure," Kristen said, according to Times Newsline. “I believe in marriage. Whatever you want to do, you know?"
Sounds like Rob and Kristen are very similar in their thinking!

While Rob is working on his dating life, he's going up against his Eclipse co-star Taylor Lautner.
“Very competitive," Rob told Today about his relationship with Taylor. "I want to have better hair than him, I want to have a better six pack.
"He’s great," he added seriously. "I’ve been pretty close with him throughout the whole series.”

While many Twi-Hards are ecstatic that Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will be split into two films, it seems Rob isn't exactly thrilled about that.
“It’s a little bit daunting just because it’s a long shoot," he confessed. "The last time when we were shooting Eclipse in Vancouver, the entire paparazzi population from L.A. just came up and camped outside the hotel. So if it’s in Vancouver, it’s a little worrying, probably get cabin fever and end up jumping off the balcony.”
Sounds like Rob could use a nice date out!
