Neil Patrick Harris is no stranger to the Broadway world, but the actor has taken his stage skills to the director's seat for the production of the fan-favorite RENT! The star-studded cast is sure to pay the proper homage to one of Broadway's most beloved musicals!
The play runs this weekend, Aug. 6-8 at the Hollywood Bowl, and features Nicole Scherzinger as Maureen, Wayne Brady as Collins, Tracie Thoms as Joanne, and Vanessa Hudgens as Mimi!

"The cast is amazing," Neil Patrick told Broadway World. "We really wanted to broaden the patchwork of the show, so we added 10 people to fill the sounds. We also added different age ranges, which gives us the opportunity to switch roles."
So what is Neil like as a director?
"He is handling himself beautifully," Vanessa said. "He is just so eloquent and really gets his point across and always has the most amazing energy that is so contagious."

Neil's take on the musical has everyone buzzing!
"Some of the ensemble people are originally cast members of RENT and they've said to me they have never seen some of these pieces performed this way ever and it means the world to me so hopefully I will do some of the RENT-heads out there proud," Nicole said.
